What to Watch this Weekend: Lifetime’s ripped-from-the-headlines ‘Stolen Baby’ movie

SATURDAY
Stolen Baby: The Murder of Heidi Broussard (8 p.m., Lifetime) — This new Lifetime movie is based on the true story of two best friends — Magen Fieramusca (Emily Osment) and Heidi Broussard (Anna Hopkins) — whose friendship meets a tragic end. Magen pretends to be pregnant at the same time as Heidi, traveling from Houston to Austin in 2019 to help Heidi when she’s ready to give birth. But Heidi goes missing with her newborn daughter weeks after giving birth, and suspicion falls on Magen. Authorities eventually uncover Magen’s twisted plan to murder Heidi and take her child. Ian Lake and Briar Nolet also star.
SUNDAY
José Andrés and Family in Spain (9 p.m., CNN) — This new six-part discovery+ documentary series gets an airing on CNN starting this weekend, with new episodes airing each Sunday.
From CNN: “The series follows larger than life chef and celebrated humanitarian José Andrés on a gastronomic adventure across his homeland with his three American-raised daughters, Carlota, Inés and Lucia Andrés. Their journey is a celebration of Spanish food and culture, guided by José’s passion for food and his personal history in Spain.”
The family visits Barcelona, Madrid, Andalusia and Valencia. At each stop, “they meet local experts, celebrated chefs and old friends, who reveal insider secrets and traditions and cook exquisite dishes.”
