There’s another callout for locals looking to star in a feature film shooting on the North Carolina coast.

Tona B. Dahlquist Casting is seeking several stand-ins and background actors — preferably with nice looking trucks — for an upcoming film produced by Amazon MGM Studios.

Applicants must be available to shoot Wednesday, May 6, and pay rates vary.

The project, which is currently filming in Wilmington and surrounding areas on the coast, is rumored to be linked to the upcoming “The Summer I Turned Pretty” movie. The film will be a continuation of the hit coming-of-age series, using working titles “Keeping Score” and “Blue Christmas,” for casting purposes, according to a production report posted on Threads.

The News & Observer reached out to Tona B. Dahlquist Casting to confirm but didn’t immediately hear back.

Production is looking to fill multiple roles, and specifically wants extras with trucks that are “older” but still in good shape. Older restored or two-tone trucks will also work, the company said.

Other roles up for grabs include:

  • 31 female stand-ins (previous stand-in or set experience preferred)
  • An African-American female, 5’2” in height with a slender build
  • A mother with a 11-15 year-old son (must be related)
  • A father with a 6-15 year-old daughter with blonde or light brown hair (must be related)

How much does it pay?

The pay rate for stand-ins is $165 for 10 hours or fewer of filming, according to the casting call. For the mother-son and father-daughter duo, the rate is $143 per person for 10 hours or less of filming.

Vehicle owners will receive an additional $25 if their truck is used in filming.
