A ‘Friends’ reunion (sort of) Sunday night on NBC
A couple of tribute shows lead Sunday night’s viewing.
What will have to pass for our much-desired “Friends” reunion happens on NBC at 9 with “Must See TV: An All-Star Tribute to James Burrows.” Burrows not only directed many, many episodes of “Friends,” but also “Frasier,” “Will & Grace,” “Taxi,” “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “The Bob Newhart Show,” “NewsRadio,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “Wings,” “Mike & Molly” and too many other shows to list here. In addition, Burrows directed and co-created “Cheers.”
Also Sunday, ABC (a Disney property) celebrates 60 years of the Disneyland theme park with “The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60.” It will include performances from Elton John and Tori Kelly, with appearances by Harrison Ford and Dick Van Dyke.
