TV Picks: Larry Wilmore hosts White House Correspondents Dinner
The White House Correspondents Dinner happens Saturday night, broadcast on CSPAN (6 p.m.), CNN (7 p.m.) and MSNBC (9 p.m.). Do yourself a favor and catch it on MSNBC, or record one of the others and fast-forward to President Obama’s speech, which is always hilarious, and host Larry Wilmore’s speech that follows. The rest of it will be painfully boring.
Wilmore, host of “The Nightly Show” on Comedy Central, promises to skewer Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump pretty hard, so take note. Trump (subject of many birther jokes at the 2011 event, which he attended) has said he will not attend.
