What to Watch on Friday: 20/20 true crime and Raleigh native in Season 3 of ‘Sabrina’

20/20: Cutthroat Inc (9 p.m., ABC) - 20/20 takes a deep dive into the story of Edward Shin, a California businessman who murdered his business partner, Christopher Smith, and then put into place an elaborate plan to cover it up using fake emails to make people think Smith was still alive. ABC’s Matt Gutman conducts a jailhouse interview with Shin for this report. In the interview, Shin opens up about killing Smith, about his shady past and why he has remained silent about the location of Smith’s body. In addition to this two-hour special, ABC will premiere a multi-part podcast called “Cutthroat Inc.” which will provide new details about the case.

Shrill (Hulu) - Season 2 of this great Aidy Bryant series returns. In Season 2, Annie (Bryant) starts off feeling pretty good about her relationship with boyfriend Ryan, but starts to worry that maybe she shouldn’t have quit her job so quickly.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Netflix) - In Season 3, Sabrina has defeated her father Lucifer, but the Dark Lord remains trapped inside the body of her beloved boyfriend, Nicholas. Sabrina is devastated that Nick made the ultimate sacrifice for her and is burning in Hell, so with the help of her mortal friends (The Fright Club), Sabrina makes it her mission to free Nick from eternal damnation. Unfortunately, that won’t be her only challenge this season. A reminder that Raleigh native Lachlan Watson has a major role in this series as a member of Sabrina’s Fright Club.

the goop lab with Gwyneth Paltrow (Netflix) - Netflix describes this as “a curiosity-driven exploration of boundary-pushing wellness topics brought to you by Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle site, goop.”
