What to Watch on Saturday: Lifetime movie on Black Widow murderer Stacey Castor
Jennifer Lopez: Behind Closed Doors (8 p.m., REELZ) - This profile of Jennifer Lopez — Sunday night’s Super Bowl Halftime Show headliner — covers her dance years on “In Living Color,” her acting career and becoming a platinum-selling recording artist.
Poisoned Love: The Stacey Castor Story (8 p.m., Lifetime) - The latest ripped-from-the-headlines Lifetime movie is based on the true story of Stacey Castor, convicted of poisoning her husband David with antifreeze in 2005 (she claimed it was suicide) and attempting to also murder her daughter Ashley Wallace (again, she claimed attempted suicide). This “Black Widow” killer is also suspected of murdering her first husband, Michael Wallace. Castor was sentenced to the maximum penalty for her crimes: 25 years to life for the murder of David Castor and to another 25 years for the attempt to kill Ashley. In 2016, Stacey was found dead inside her prison cell. Officials say there was no evidence of suicide or foul play. Cast: Nia Vardalos plays Stacey, Mike Dopud plays David and Chanelle Peloso plays Ashley.
Puppy Bowl XVI Presents: The Dog Bowl III (8 p.m., Animal Planet) - The main Puppy Bowl is on Sunday at 3 p.m., but until then catch the senior dog match-up between Team Oldies and Team Goldies. All of the pups are adoptable rescues.
