What to Watch on Wednesday: North Carolina’s own island legend returns to ‘Survivor’

Survivor: Winners at War (8 p.m., CBS) - The new season pits former winners against each other, including Sandra Diaz-Twine, a three-time contestant and two-time winner (2003 and 2010) who also served as a mentor on the previous season of “Survivor.” This will be her fifth round on the show. The winner this time gets $2 million. Here’s the full list of Season 40’s Survivor contestants.

The Masked Singer (8 p.m., Fox) - So far the show has unveiled Lil Wayne and Drew Carey. Tonight, another performer from Group A will be unmasked.

Big Cat Country (8 p.m., Smithsonian) - This six-part nature series exposes the triumph and tragedy as two lion prides struggle to withstand the invasion of a gang of young males aggressively looking to take over new territory.
