What to Watch on Wednesday: A new Jane Goodall documentary and a COVID-19 benefit

Saving Ourselves: BET’s COVID-19 Relief Effort (8 p.m., BET) - Kelly Rowland, Regina Hall and Terrence J host a benefit for communities of color impacted by COVID-19. There are appearances by DJ Khaled, Chance the Rapper, Fantasia and others. This also airs on the over-the-air channel Bounce, for those without cable or satellite.

Harry & Meghan: A Royal Rebellion (8 p.m., The CW) - People magazine presents an examination of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit from royal life.

Jane Goodall: The Hope (9 p.m., National Geographic) - A sweeping documentary celebrating the vast legacy of Dr. Jane Goodall’s four decades of advocacy work for chimpanzees, with a look at the next chapter of work for generations to come. This picks up where the 2017 award-winning film “Jane” left off, and features photographs and footage that spans over seven decades and illustrates Dr. Goodall’s passion for wildlife, making her one of the most important figures in wildlife conservation and galvanizing a future generation to create lasting change. The film is a follow-up to National Geographic’s 2017 documentary “JANE.”

H20: The Molecule That Made Us (9 p.m., PBS / UNC-TV) -This documentary examines how humanity’s relationship with water is everything. It’s a three-part series examining the world’s water crisis, including the shrinking water supply in locations across the world, the technology being used to help solve the crisis. Parts 2 and 3 will air on the next two Wednesdays. Narrated by NPR’s Kelley McEvers.
