What to Watch Saturday: ‘Dating Game Killer’ movie and a new at-home ‘SNL’
Kids’ Choice Awards 2020: Celebrate Together (8 p.m., Nickelodeon) - Stars (and slime) come together virtually to celebrate kids and the best of what kids love. NBA star LeBron James will be honored. Scheduled to appear: Dwayne Johnson, Ariana Grande, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Millie Bobby Brown, Lil Nas X and many others.
Deadly Mile High Club (8 p.m., Lifetime) - In this new Lifetime movie, a deranged flight instructor becomes obsessed with a handsome student and tries to destroy the people in his life so that he’ll fall in love with her.
Dating Game Killer (9 p.m., Investigation Discovery) - This creepy movie starring Guillermo Diaz (“Better Call Saul”) follows the investigation and eventual capture of serial killer Rodney Alcala, who actually appeared as a contestant on “The Dating Game” game show (and won!) while in the middle of a string of grisly murders in the 1970s in California. This movie was originally released in 2017, but there’s renewed interest in this creep thanks to a very good Wondery podcast about Alcala, also called “The Dating Game Killer.” A documentary-style program airs at 11.
Saturday Night Live (11:30 p.m., NBC) - We get another quarantine episode this week, with sketches and digital shorts performed from the homes of the cast members.
