Republican National Convention - The Republican National Convention ends tonight. Coverage will start at different times on different networks. Some of the speeches will be delivered remotely from the Washington, DC area instead of in the host city of Charlotte, but the convention is not expected to be as “virtual” as last week’s Democratic Convention. Also, expect many national reporters and network anchors to stay in D.C. or New York. Tonight we should get President Donald Trump’s acceptance speech. You can watch starting at 8 p.m. on CNN, MSNBC and PBS / UNC-TV; at 8:20 p.m. on CSPAN; and at 10 p.m. on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox News. There’s also local coverage on Spectrum News. For details on how to stream the convention on TV, a computer or mobile device, visit 2020gopconvention.com.

Disappeared in Appalachia (9 p.m., Investigation Discovery) - This special looks at the disappearance of Appalachian State student James Martin Roberts from Boone in 2016. Roberts, from Kernersville, was 19 years old when he was last seen in a surveillance video on the college campus near the ASU Convocation Center. Police have used infrared searches, cadaver dogs and sweeps of a nearby lake, but have never found the young student. The Boone Police Department is still investigating the case. If you have information what might have happened to James Martin Roberts, contact them at at 828-268-6900 or High Country Crime Stoppers at 828-268-6959 / 828-737-0125.
