The Butcher Baker: Mind of a Monster (9 p.m., Investigation Discovery) - This new documentary examines Robert Hansen, a mild-mannered family man who ran a successful bakery in Anchorage while also hunting women. Hansen would find women in the Anchorage red-light district and then fly them out to the Alaska wilderness, where he would literally hunt them down for sport. He was eventually caught and confessed to murdering 17 women. This new special is part of ID’s Serial Killer Week, which started Sunday night (see the full Serial Killer Week schedule here).

Assisted Living (9 p.m., BET) - This new Tyler Perry comedy stars David and Tamela Mann as the longtime Perry characters Mr. Brown and Cora, in a story about a man who moves his wife and two kids to Georgia to collect his inheritance from his grandmother, but when he arrives he learns that his grandfather has used the money to buy an assisted living facility. Two new episodes air tonight. It also stars J. Anthony Brown, Na’im Lynn, Courtney Nichole, Tayler Buck and Alex Anderson.

Chef’s Table: BBQ (Netflix) - This foodie favorite returns with a season devoted to the world of barbecue — but sadly, no North Carolina folks are in the spotlight. Featured chefs and pitmasters include Tootsie Tomantez, an 85-year-old grandmother who still shovels the coals at her Texas restaurant; Lennox Hastie, an Australian chef who sources all of his ingredients from the Outback; Rodney Scott of Charleston, South Carolina, who is known for his whole hog barbecue (Scott is the focus of Episode 3); and Rosalia Chay Chuc, a traditional Mayan chef who serves Cochinita Pibil out of her Mexico home.
