Emily Blunt Reveals Why Husband John Krasinski Almost Gave Her the 'Ick'

Emily Blunt said she almost got the "ick" with husband John Krasinski over his red carpet style.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 actress was initially unsure about Krasinski's turtleneck outfit at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, she revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, April 28.

"I'll be honest … I have a full organ rejection to turtlenecks usually," Blunt, 43, shared.

She continued, "When John pitched me this outfit and he was like, ‘And it's a turtleneck,' I had to compose my face into, like, impassive, ‘Oh, that sounds great,' you know?'"

Thankfully, the Oscar nominee was impressed by how her husband pulled his look together, pairing his dark turtleneck sweater with a black blazer, pants and glasses.

"But then when I saw [him], I thought he looked like Michael Caine. He looked so cool. ‘60s vibe," Blunt admitted. "But normally a man in the turtleneck gives me the ick. Sorry to any turtleneck wearers tonight."

Blunt then went on to reveal another men's fashion ick she has.

"I don't mind, like, a James Dean leather jacket, but if we're looking at a dad leather jacket, where it's a little bomber jacket and it's very shiny? A little tight. And cropped," she shared. (Take note, gents!)

Blunt and Krasinski, 46, have been married since July 2010 and have two daughters, Hazel, 12, and Violet, 9.

As well as doting parents, the pair have worked together on the A Quiet Place franchise, directed and written by Krasinski and starring Blunt.

During Tuesday's Tonight Show appearance, Blunt teased the upcoming A Quiet Place Part III, which is set for release in July 2027.

"He starts shooting really soon. He's been writing it," Blunt said of her spouse. "He's one of these weird, sort of Beautiful Mind people. He goes up, he has post-its everywhere, and he's like that for months, organizing it. [It's] to the point where I'm like, ‘Please write this movie. Stop post-iting our house.'"

Blunt shared her hopes for A Quiet Place Part III, revealing, "The only thing I'm sort of praying for is maybe slightly less action. There's a lot of running in Quiet Place 1 and 2."

"I had one bad knee before I started the franchise," Blunt explained. "And now I have two bad knees. John was like, ‘Hey, can you do a fake stumble?' and I did and botched the other one up. So I'm hoping to sort of sit quietly in Quiet Place 3."

Before A Quiet Place Part III hits theaters in 2027, Blunt reprises her role as Emily Charlton in The Devil Wears Prada 2, which hits theaters on Friday, May 1, and reunites the actress with costars Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci.
