C. Andy Smith

Clarence Andy Smith, 56, of Holly Springs, NC formerly of Russell, KY passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at his residence in NC. He was born on August 10, 1958 the son of the late William Leonard Smith and Ola Skaggs Smith.

Andy and his family relocated to Holly Springs, NC in 2010. After a lengthy career with Super Media - going all the way back to when it was known as GTE, Andy had recently ventured into a startup company as VP of Sales for ReserveFishing.com.

Besides his mother and father he was preceded in death by a sister Rita Lykins.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen York Smith; one son Christopher Sam Smith, of Raleigh; one daughter Kevi Murtha, of Holly Springs; one grandson Benjamin Murtha; two sisters Susan McNabb and Janie Moore, both of Russell, KY as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 2-6 pm at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, KY, with Funeral Services Monday, September 8, 2014 at 11 am at the Russell First Baptist Church in Russell, Kentucky. Entombment wil follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods, KY.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Springs Food Cupboard – PO Box 268 – Holly Springs, NC 27540.
