A. Curtis Privette

Albert Curtis Privette, 86, passed away October 29, 2014. Curtis was born in Zebulon, NC on February 14, 1928 to Dave and Effie Privette. He grew up in Zebulon and graduated from Wakelon High School. He met the love of his life, Wilma Bunn Privette and two months and nine days after marrying her he was drafted by the army to serve in Korea. Curtis was a well known electrician around the Zebulon area, having wired many houses with his father. Until he retired, Curtis was the maintenance supervisor at Devil Dog Manufacturing.

Curtis is preceded in death by his wife, Wilma and his daughter, Lynn Privette May. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his sisters: Vivian Trevathan, Elsie Oakley, and Theta Alford.

Funeral sevice 3 pm Friday at Massey Funeral Home, Zebulon. Burial, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his oldest brother, Wayne Privette and wife Betty of Zebulon, NC and his youngest brother, Frank Privette and wife Hilda of Washington, NC. He is also survived by his daughter, Brenda Driver of Spring Hope, NC and his son, Glenn and wife Cindy of Zebulon, NC. He has six grandchildren: Amy Privette Langston, Robert Denton, Joy Driver, Michael Lewis, Melissa Privette Schwartz, Ashton Privette Brantley and Madison Privette. He has six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Audrey Miles for the care she provided to Curtis in his home and the staff of Zebulon House for the care they provided to Curtis in the last months of his life.
