Jacquelin S. Allen "Jackie"

Jacquelin S. Allen "Jackie", 63, passed away at Wake Med in Raleigh, NC Jan 7 2015.

She was born in Laurinburg, NC to the late Virginia Williford and Eugene Smith. She was preceded in death by her brother Leonard Smith and her son Ryan E. Allen. Survivors include her husband of 44 years Jerry B. Allen of Raleigh, her son Eric J.B. Allen of Raleigh, her sister Barbara Hinson of Wagram, her brother Fred Smith of Raeford, and grandchildren Kalei, Hunter and Andrew of Wake Forest, Jerry of Sanford and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Allen was raised in Raeford. After marriage she lived in Raleigh, Yokohama Japan, Cary and Hsinchu Taiwan.

Her passions in life were her family, friends and the clay working community.

She served as President of The Triangle Potters Guild and as a board member of the NC Pottery Center. She owned and operated Rare Earth and Casual Elegance in Clay.

A memorial service will be held at The Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church 200 High Meadow Drive, Cary, NC 27511 at 11:00 Saturday January 31. Friends and Family are invited to a reception immediately following the service at the family home at 8306 Penny Road, Raleigh, NC 27606. Flowers are accepted.
