A recent post to the Raleigh Craigslist is a catchy one for this time of year, with a title that suggests anyone who wants a free Christmas tree can simply head over to Apex and pick one up.

That’s kind of accurate.

The evergreen tree pictured in the Thursday morning post is not your typical holiday fir. And whoever claims it is going to need a chainsaw, a serious truck or trailer and a lot of space wherever they take it.

The description offers more on the intention for the post. The “nice big tree” has got to go, the author says, because it has grown too close to the house, which it clearly intrudes on in the photo.

The tree is “too nice to go into chipper” and “would look nice in town square or mall,” the post says.

But it also says, “If you want it, you have to remove it.”
