What is the most popular Halloween candy in NC? (Chocolate lovers won’t be surprised)

As a kid, there’s no better feeling than bringing home a pillowcase or trash bag full of candy after a long night of Halloween trick-or-treating.

Of course, there are some treats that kids (and parents) immediately dig into, and others — like apples and toothbrushes — that get tossed aside.

A recent report found that candy lovers in North Carolina prefer chocolate.

According to CandyStore.com, a company that delivers bulk orders of candy across the country, M&Ms are the most popular candy in North Carolina. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups were second on the list, and Hershey’s Mini Bars came in at No. 3

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are the most popular candy in the U.S., followed by M&M’s, Hot Tamales, Skittles and Sour Patch Kids, according to the website.
