Tanger Mebane adds Merrell, New Balance stores to outlet lineup

Tanger Outlets Mebane has added two footwear retailers, Merrell and New Balance, the outlet center said last week.

Merrell is focused on performance-driven outdoor footwear built for durability and adventure. The company's offerings include hiking boots, trail-running shoes, casual footwear and outdoor apparel.

New Balance is recognized for athletic shoes that combine performance technology with timeless style.

"Merrell and New Balance bring the quality and value our shoppers are looking for," said Jeffrey Johnson, marketing director at Tanger Mebane.

"Both brands have strong followings and are a natural fit for our center, furthering Tanger's commitment to offer shoppers some of the most sought-after names in retail."

New Balance is located in a 4,000-square-foot space between Uniform Destination and Skechers.

Merrell is located in a 2,477-square-foot space between Columbia and Kate Spade.

Tanger Mebane, a 319,000-square-foot center, features more than 70 outlet stores.
