Salem One expands portfolio with SmashBrand acquisition
Salem One, a Winston-Salem provider of print-based corporate communication solutions, said Friday it has acquired SmashBrand, a brand development agency for consumer-packaged goods.
Terms were not disclosed.
SmashBrand will continue to operate under its own brand, leadership team and proprietary methodology, according to Salem One.
"SmashBrand has built a rigorous, consumer-tested process that gives brands confidence in their strategic decisions," said Tracy Brooks, a senior vice president at Salem One.
In February 2024, Salem One acquired iTek Graphics of Concord, which became a division of Salem One but continues to operate as a standalone business unit.
Salem One is part of the Granite Creek Capital Partners' ownership portfolio. It provides direct mail, packaging, and logistics services.
Founded in 2005, Granite Creek is focused on providing capital and operational resources to lower-middle-market companies engaged in manufacturing, business services, health care and agribusiness.
"We are excited to welcome the members of SmashBrand's management to the Salem One leadership team," said Brian Boorstein, co-founder and partner at Granite Creek.
"We believe their experience and perspective will complement Salem One's deep bench of leadership and enhance the company's ability to offer the market a broader continuum of corporate communications solutions."
