In everyday speak, the phrase silverware refers to cutlery like forks, knives and spoons - and those items are most of what Gen Z silverware collectors are sharing on social media. But in the world of antiquing, silverware also includes any other dining items made of silver, such as servers, candle holders, trays, pitchers, gravy boats and cups.
On TikTok, you'll find endless videos of young women proudly showing off their collections of vintage silverware in all different styles. The comment sections are often filled with people asking for details on the style of silverware and where they found it.
