The Adams Farm shopping center in Greensboro has been purchased for $24.6 million by two Charlotte-based realty groups expanding their Triad retail portfolio.

According to a Guilford County Register of Deeds filing, the buyer of the 5710 W. Gate City Blvd. property is Fincher Patrick Weir LLC. Partnering in the transaction is Aston Realty Investment Co.

The seller is CPGHT Adams Farm LLC of Raleigh.

The 96,000-square-foot shopping center primarily serving the Adams Farm and Sedgefield communities is anchored by Harris Teeter.

Aston said the purchase is part of its "continued focus on investing in grocery-anchored, necessity-based retail centers in growing Southeastern markets.

"The firm sees strong fundamentals in Greensboro and remains committed to identifying opportunities that align with its long-term ownership and management strategy."

Aston offers a full range of real estate services, including property management, leasing, development and capital markets.

Among its retail properties in the Triad and northwest North Carolina are: Highland Commons in Boone; Quaker Village in Greensboro; Kernersville Marketplace; New Market Plaza in Kernersville; and Pine Ridge Plaza in Winston-Salem.
