Dianna Russini Goes Private on Instagram Amid Mike Vrabel Scandal

NFL reporter Dianna Russini and New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel are back in the headlines on Thursday, just a few hours before the first round of the NFL draft kicks off.

Just over two weeks after initially releases photos of the two at an Arizona resort, Page Six published a new report with photos of the two from March 2020. Russini and Vrabel, who is married with two children, were allegedly "kissing and they were all over each other" at a secluded bar in New York City.

The latest photos came from when Russini was a reporter with ESPN. In the wake of Page Six's reporting of an alleged relationship with Vrabel, the longtime NFL reporter opted to make her Instagram private.

Russini's X (formerly Twitter) account remains public, though she has not posted since her resignation was announced.

She previously had her page set to public with photos of her husband and two children, Michael and Joey.

Dianna Russini Announced Her Resignation 9 Days Ago

The new photos come just over a week after Russini announced her resignation from the Athletic.

"I have covered the NFL with professionalism and dedication throughout my career, and I stand behind every story I have ever published. When the Page Six item first appeared, The Athletic supported me unequivocally, expressed confidence in my work and pride in my journalism," she said in a statement at the time.

"For that I am grateful. In the days that followed, unfortunately, commentators in various media have engaged in self-feeding speculation that is simply unmoored from the facts. Moreover, this media frenzy is hurtling forward without regard for the review process The Athletic is trying to complete."

She continued, "It continues to escalate, fueled by repeated leaks, and I have no interest in submitting to a public inquiry that has already caused far more damage than I am willing to accept."

"Rather than allowing this to continue, I have decided to step aside now -- before my current contract expires on June 30. I do so not because I accept the narrative that has been constructed around this episode, but because I refuse to lend it further oxygen or to let it define me or my career."
