This Dog Dad Shows the Difference Between the First and Second Golden, and It's Hilariously True

If you grew up with siblings, you already know the hierarchy. The firstborn: responsible, composed, the one who made the parents think they had it all figured out. The second born: a lovable tornado who somehow runs the whole house anyway. It's a tale as old as time that, apparently, doesn't stop at humans.

One dog dad on social media has two golden retrievers, and the difference between them is the most relatable thing on the internet right now. His first golden? A functioning member of society. His second? A direct attack on his mental stability - his words, not ours.

The dog dad kicks things off with his first golden, who he describes as "a functioning member of society"-calm, predictable, and the kind of dog that makes you think you've got this whole pet parent thing figured out. He eats normally. He's just the right amount of clingy. He is, in every way, the golden standard.

Then walks in the second dog. Or we should say bulldozes right through.

Without giving too much away, let's say the youngest golden "acts first, thinks never," has somehow eaten both the food and the floor, and has "made direct eye contact from inside his face." Whatever that means, it's apparently a daily occurrence.

With over 26,000 likes, it's clear that many also agree with this description. In the comments, viewers were having an absolute ball at the clip, with many agreeing with the description. "The accuracy of this is terrifying!" commented one viewer. Another pet parent also shared their experience with, "That is so true. I speak from experience, I am a mum of two four legged boys. I love both of them but it can be exhausting, but I wouldn't have it any other way."

Although I have no further comment as to how accurate this portrayal is as a second-born, I will say I definitely identify as the second golden to a tee.
