You'll Soon Be Able to Get White Castle at 1,000 Hospitals and Colleges

Harold and Kumar's journey just got a whole lot easier thanks to White Castle's latest innovation. The fast food company, known for its bite-sized sliders, plans to roll out 1,000 "Crave & Go" kiosks in hospitals, colleges, and large office buildings around the country.

After a successful pilot program in Boston's Logan Airport earlier this year, White Castle announced on April 23 that it is expanding its partnership with Automated Retail Technologies, LLC. A press release from the Ohio-based company states that customers will be able to access "a variety of Sliders" from grab-and-go automated vending machines throughout the United States.

Some of the first few kiosks have already been installed, with a lot more to come as the creative fast food company ramps up production towards the latter half of 2026. According to the press release, White Castle also plans to internally test new products specifically for its Crave & Go kiosks.

White Castle is expected to focus primarily on areas of the country where there are currently no existing restaurants. This is a major expansion for what is often cited as the world's first fast food hamburger chain, which currently has around 345 brick-and-mortar locations throughout 15 states in the US. The new vending machines could give White Castle access to large untapped markets in places like California or Texas.

The kiosk in Boston, which has been open since January, typically offers seven different White Castle sandwiches. Classic cheese sliders come in a group of four for $13.50, with the classic hamburger four-pack costing $10.95. Customers on-the-go can also get a pair of white meat chicken and cheese sliders or cheddar bacon cheeseburgers for $8.50.

White Castle, which was also a fast food pioneer into the grocery store's frozen aisle, says via press release that its kiosks have already seen "strong consumer engagement and highly positive feedback." It's currently unknown where future kiosks are planned, but people can expect to see little White Castles of their own start to pop up in college campuses, healthcare facilities, corporations, and large public transportation stations throughout the rest of the year.
