Golden Retriever Proves That Age Is Just a Number, and It's Too Funny
They say one mellows with age, but they never met a feisty golden retriever who knows no limitations. Despite being an older pup, Chili the golden retriever isn't letting a number slow him down. On the contrary, it looks like age has suited this golden quite well.
Taking some time to get his daily exercise in, Chili shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. While we are sure that Chili's human is looking forward to the day she doesn't have to chase him around the yard anymore, at least we can say the golden is staying in proper shape.

At a mature 5 years old, one would expect that dogs start slowing down. As someone with a Boston terrier in the family that's 5, I also know that's completely false. Just like Chili, my Boston still zooms around the living room as if he is still a pup, and while I appreciate his youthful spirit, I do not have that kind of stamina.
In the same situation is Chili's human, who is also 5 years old and clearly has not gotten the memo that it's time to settle down. The golden retriever clearly still likes to dig massive holes in the sand like he's about to discover treasure. Like any good crazy boy, Chili lives for the chaos.

In the comments, viewers couldn't help but share their thoughts with Chili's human and their own experiences with their youthful "mature" pups. One commenter shared, "My golden is 9 and has yet to calm down…"
Elsewhere, another viewer gave a probable explanation, "Well to be fair Golden retrievers aren't really classified as Dogs, they're under 'Ray's of Sunshine'. And those like most stars shine until they burn out." A beautiful sentiment to describe a wild tornado.
Hilariously, another user shared their anecdote, "My friends log is mixed with two guardian breeds and oh my gosh.. I feel like even a professional trainer wouldn't be able to get her to calm down."
While we feel for all the pet parents of these chaos gremlins that show no signs of slowing down, we do appreciate that they let their pups stay in touch with their younger spirits, even if it's destroying their patience and yards.
