My dogs watch TV with me, but rarely notice what's going on. If a dog barks or a cat meows, then they're momentarily curious. They never mimic what they see on the screen, yet some fur babies feel compelled to fully immerse themselves in what they're viewing.

This Dachshund watched a baking show and turned it into an interactive experience by matching the professional baker move for move. And honestly, it was impressive.

In the TikTok from @wwwxfds, the Dachshund was on the bed facing the laptop and completely mesmerized by a baking show. The woman on the program demonstrated exactly how to roll out dough, giving verbal instructions while executing each step.

The dedicated Doxie watched intently as he replicated how she kneaded the dough. He worked his paws in a pillow while holding onto it with his mouth for leverage. The fur baby barely blinked as he scrutinized each motion she made and did his best to keep up. Betty Crocker would have been proud of the precious pooch.

The canine cutie caught the attention of numerous followers with his culinary skills, including some famous food brands.

"Met him in pastry school - he's a great guy," Milk-Bone posted.

"Tell him we're hiring biscuit makers," Hardee's remarked.

"True dedication to his craft," Hellman's Mayonnaise pointed out.

"I'll take a baker's dozen, thanks," Wellness Pet commented.

"Star Baker skills right there," the Great British Bake Off praised.

Dogs Mimic Us More Than You Think

While not every dog can be as next level as this Dachshund with his mirroring skills, many canines pick up cues from their parents and try them on for themselves. They feel so in tune with their loved ones, some dogs want to copy their behavior.

Dogs most commonly mimic their parent's sitting posture, facial expressions, and sleeping positions. They can also model how they eat after their loved ones - if you finish a meal quickly, you may notice your fur baby does too. If you're more of a picky eater, your pooch may dawdle over their dinner. Dogs also join people in a yawn, or copy vocal tones they hear.

This Dachshund was totally in sync with the pro baker and may get tapped to do his own tutorial next time.
