Precious American Bully Takes Refuge From 'Dinosaurs' Behind Toddler
When we first saw my rescue Staffy, Franklin, at the shelter, there was such a look of hopelessness in his eyes that it still haunts me to this day. Adopting him and watching him learn to trust people after a heartbreaking past has been one of the most rewarding things I'll ever do. As a Bully breed, he has a tender heart who's always wanted to love, be loved, and find his people.
When I came across another sweet Bully named Nalu, she reminded me so much of my Frankie boy, right down to the gentle way she leans on her toddler sibling for safety. This is one video you'll want the volume up for.

Between Nalu's quiet cries over being scared of the TV and the little girl reassuring her, "It's OK, mama, it's just a dinosaur," it's almost too much for my heart to take! I love seeing a happy ending for a Bully girl like Nalu, who deserves nothing less than the best life, surrounded by people who will take care of and adore her.

If you think that video was sugary sweet, wait until you see the moment this little girl welcomes Nalu outside the shelter. This is a case of love at first sight, and it seems like the feeling is mutual.
Bonus: The light in Nalu's eyes came back as soon as she realized she was going home.

Why Rescues Like Nalu Make the Best Pets
As tempting as it can be to adopt an expensive puppy from a breeder, there are way too many good girls and boys like Nalu and Franklin in shelters, waiting for someone to notice them.
Most of the time, they come trained and ready to show off their skills, and all they need is a chance. Bully breeds, specifically, are the subject of stereotypes that aren't always true, and if anything, I've learned they're the best, most loyal, and most loving pups you could ever ask for. Just don't watch anything dinosaur-related on TV, and they'll be fine!
