Five ducklings were reunited with their mother after they were rescued from inside a storm drain.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), the Redmond Police Department (RPD) in Redmond, Wash. shared video of the "Quack-tical Rescue," where they rescued the baby ducks after they got trapped inside a storm drain.

"On April 12, around 2 p.m., officers responded to an unusual call in the 15100 block of Old Redmond Rd, reporting that five ducklings had fallen into a storm drain and were paddling beneath the grate," the RPD shared in their statement on X. "After some careful maneuvering, officers safely lifted all five ducklings out of the drain and reunited them with their relieved mom in a nearby yard."

The RPD also shared footage of the rescue, from the moment they spotted the ducklings chirping from inside the drain. They then carefully lifted the ducklings out of the drain, one at a time, and placed them in a bucket.

"Officers arrived to find the tiny swimmers stuck below," they continued in their statement. "While their mom waited nearby, keeping a close and noisy watch."
