Tiny Calico Kitten's Battle With Sleep Ends in the Sweetest Way
Having a kitten in the family is such a fun time. Everything is new for them, and they're full of so much energy; they never do anything other than live at full volume. But with all that fun, learning, growing, and chaos comes the need for a lot of sleep. And when an energized kitten has run all that out, sleep calls, and it's impossible for them to ignore it.
In this video, we meet a tiny Calico kitten who tries to fight off sleep until she simply can't anymore. But she's mid-chaos and starts to fall asleep right where she stands, and it's incredibly sweet. Take a look!

@healingbutpaid shared a video of a new Calico kitten who recently joined her family. We meet a tiny, adorable, beautiful Calico cat with a lot of that kitten energy we all love. The play-hard, sleep-hard mentality is strong with this little kitty, and she's hardcore about it.
The kitten is having the best time with her big sister, who is lying on the floor. The kitten is trying to climb up on her, but kitty ran into a little hiccup... energy is running out quickly, and there's a very, very sleepy vibe over the cat's head.

How Much Sleep Do Kittens Need?
This silly kitten is clearly in need of a nap, and that's not surprising since kittens need a lot of sleep, according to experts.
According to Vets for Pets, kittens need a lot of naps throughout the day, and it's good for us to let them get that rest. The site explains that kittens sleep up to 18 hours a day, and that's pretty standard for adult cats, too, who only need about 2 hours less once they're out of the kitten phase.
All the rest of this is important for "vital developmental and growth functions," Vets for Pets explains. As long as they're happy and lively while they're awake, and eating and drinking well, that rest is necessary for all the growing and learning they're doing.
