Carolina Caring names Daniel Gilland vice president of Human Resources
NEWTON - Carolina Caring announced Daniel Gilland, BSBA, PHR, sHRBP, has been named vice president of Human Resources.
Bringing more than 25 years of experience in Human Resources leadership across Fortune 500 environments, Gilland holds a background in optimizing talent management, workforce planning, and strategies to improve organizational outcomes, according to a news release.
As vice president of Human Resources at Carolina Caring, Gilland is committed to empowering teams and developing operational goals that further the mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families facing serious illness. He will also focus on advancing employee-centered initiatives and implementing solutions that support Carolina Caring's positive workplace culture.
"When I first considered joining the Carolina Caring team, one of the aspects of this organization that resonated with me most was their message, ‘Filling each day with purpose,'" Gilland shares. "I quickly discovered how deeply this message is woven into the culture. Gilland arrives to Carolina Caring after a role as Human Resources manager at Sarstedt, where he led HR operations for several teams and developed a production skill-based testing program to improve quality and performance. He has also served as a Human Resources Business Partner at ADP Comprehensive Services, partnering with executive leaders to align HR strategies and best practices with comprehensive business goals, the news release said.
Gilland earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Law from Western North Carolina University. He holds certifications in Professional Human Resources (PHR), OSHA 30, and as a Strategic HR Business Partner (sHRBP). He is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and serves as president of SHRM Catawba Valley.
