Brand-New Baby Goat Tries To Bond With Ram-But He's Not Having It
It's not uncommon for a new mama goat to momentarily lose track of her baby, especially if she's a first-time mom. We're not sure if that's what happened at Shady Lane Farm, but it's clear this newborn was trying to find his mom… and picked the wrong one.
The little goat spotted someone who looked just like him: an all-black, four-horned ram. At first, the ram seemed pretty patient but was just as confused as the baby. The moment the little one tried to nurse, all bets were off. The ram took off running, leaving the baby screaming for his real mom to come to his rescue.

The farmer at Shady Lane Farm wasn't wrong when he said in the caption, "Lucky my ram was understanding and gentle..." The baby goat definitely could've gotten hurt if he hadn't been.

Viewers Are Cracking up Over the Baby Goat's Mix-Up
Viewers got a kick out of watching the scene between the baby goat and the ram unfold and had plenty to say about it. @Motley_Outdoors shared, "Sounds like it was screaming MOM." @Shady Lane Farm replied, "Well, it's safe to say... That WAS NOT Mom, haha!"
That sparked even more conversation, with one commenter asking, "All goats have horns, not just the males. How do you know?" We laughed when Shady Lane Farm replied, "Because that isn't a goat. That's a ram (MALE sheep). So I am absolutely sure that's not [his] mom."
@Jae Elle Adams pointed out, "The four-horned ram looked over like, 'Oh, hey, an adultier adult! I'm OUT.'" @Shady Lane Farm replied, "Somehow I feel like he would be a stricter father. But maybe I'm wrong."
Commenter @rebeccahall313 shared, "The way that one screams, the ram probably went to see what was happening. That's the loudest baby goat I've ever heard!"
What makes it even funnier? The ram came running, but Mom was nowhere to be found.
