Dog rescuers like @notjorescues have seen it all, which is why they know exactly where to check for abandoned dogs and puppies. She frequents Florida dog-dumping sites around Homestead and Redland, where she meets far too many innocent animals who've been left behind by someone they loved. On May 6, she came across a pair of puppies in need of her help, and it was love at first sight.

The bittersweet puppy rescue is both heartbreaking and heartwarming, especially given how quickly the sweet sisters trusted their new friend. Even so, watching them hug in relief could bring tears to anyone's eyes. How could anyone abandon such loving little dogs?

The adorable rescued puppies both warmed up to their rescuer right away, but just think of how much confidence they'll gain after a few days in a loving home. After a few days of their mandatory medical hold, they'll be ready to meet their forever families!

Viewers released a collective sigh of relief when the puppies hugged one another in the excitement of meeting a trustworthy new friend. Like @camipaolaa commented, "they were so grateful to be safe and able to just be puppies."

These precious girls knew they had hit the jackpot when they met their rescuer, but even more wonderful news came with their negative parvovirus test results. This makes their medical care and adoption so much easier! Dozens of commenters expressed interest in adopting one or both of the rescued pups, especially after the dog rescue video went viral online.

We may not know what's next for the girls or whether they'll be adopted separately or together, but it's a relief to know that they're finally safe. There will be so many naps, snuggles, and hugs in their future!

Florida Dog Dumping Sites Have Created a Crisis

@Notjorescues is just one dog rescuer who volunteers for Redland Rock Pit Abandoned Dogs Project, Inc., to rescue as many dogs in South Florida as possible. The dogs who are abandoned in an area called the 'rock pit' face many dangers, including traffic, poison, starvation, and kind people.

"Homestead and the Redlands are the main spots for animal dumping," commented @lifewithlexx_. "You're an angel for helping."

It's heartbreaking to see how many viewers replied with similar stories from the same area, but the silver lining is that there are plenty of selfless people who want to help. With enough awareness, resources, and consequences for animal abandonment, one day this area will be known as something other than a dog dumping ground.
