C.C. DeVille of Poison Turns 64: See His New Look and Heartwarming Encounter

Attention glam rock fans: Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille turns 64 today.

While he didn't have a VH1 reality show like Poison's frontman Bret Michaels, DeVille was just as important of a figure in the rise of '80s hair metal. His eccentric, heavily riff-driven guitar style comes to life on songs like Poison's hit "Talk Dirty to Me," which found a new audience with Millennials when it was featured on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock in 2007.

In fact, it was that instantly recognizable riff from "Talk Dirty to Me" that landed DeVille in Poison in the first place. The band's drummer Rikki Rockett recounted DeVille's audition to Louder.

"And then this ... guy showed up," Rockett said. "And the dude's got this f***in' hair everywhere and he's like - and this is before he's even plugged in - he's like, ‘Man, I ain't playing any of your songs, I've got a riff you can use'. And the riff he's got is 'Talk Dirty To Me'…"

C.C. DeVille Looks Totally Different in 2026

DeVille reunited with Poison for an arena tour in 2022 alongside Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, and Joan Jett. But since then, he's largely stayed out of the spotlight. He occasionally posts pictures of his kids on Instagram, but rarely posts pictures of himself.

So what exactly does this hair metal icon look like in 2026? The answer would be unknown were it not for a friendly encounter with his neighbor.

Carolyn Snyder, director of operations at the California law firm Snyder Law, ran into DeVille while he was out for a jog on Feb. 6 - just three months before his 64th birthday - and shared a photo of them together on the firm's website.

The long hair that made him famous was tucked under a baseball cap, now grey instead of bleach blond and blown out. While his face definitely looked more... mature, he still maintained a youthful glow.

To top it off, he's friendly too! "If you call out to him to say hello, he'll stop and look at you like you're an old friend (even if you're just meeting him for the first time)," Snyder wrote, "and give you a hearty,"It's a great day to be outside, isn't it?!"
