Tabby Cat Who Thinks He's a Raccoon Gets Caught in the Wildest Spot

More than anything, cats are cunning and curious creatures who aren't living their best lives unless they're in some kind of debacle. Being a troublemaking rebel is in their DNA, so we can't get too worked up about whatever shenanigans they create. If they put their mind to it, they'll do just about anything that tickles their proverbial fancy-especially if it means finding a yummy treat!

This describes a clever Tabby cat named Loki who recently found himself in a bit of a pickle while searching for food. This is one kitty with zero shame in his game, and you won't believe where Mom found him!

I see no Tabby cat digging in the trash here; I only see an adorable raccoon who snuck into the house and ravaged the trash can for even a nibble! It's all in a day's work, as @lokidoestricks, so I'm sure Mom and Dad are used to this kind of situation. Even still, the fact that he didn't fall in face-first is something of a miracle!

As one fan put it, if you name a kitty Loki, "you have to expect the chaos!" If you're not a Marvel fan or familiar with the Loki character, just know that this funny feline's behavior is spot-on.

Channeling his wild side isn't the only thing Loki does for a laugh. He's a relentless menace-all in the name of food!

It doesn't matter if it's rotten food at the bottom of a trash can or Mom's plate of fries. Loki believes in abundance, sharing, and the whole "what's yours is mine" mentality. That means if no one offers up a bite, he'll take it, anyway.

Seems fair. His persistence is cute, so he can get away with it!

Why Cats Investigate Places They Shouldn't

Much like Loki and the trash can (or any cat who's ever existed anywhere), curiosity tops their list of traits, so they can't help but seek out curious things to investigate. In the wild, the big cats are scavengers who hunt for food to survive. Just because our resident kitties are domesticated doesn't mean those ingrained behaviors will disappear!

If you find your cat digging in the trash like Loki, make sure the lid's on tight. If they find a way in, anyway, congrats, because you have a Loki-god of chaos-on your hands, too!
