Former WWE Champion Carlito Visits Attends ROH Tapings in Jacksonville

A former WWE superstar who left the company last year was spotted at the latest Ring of Honor (ROH) tapings.

According to a report from Fightful Select, former WWE United States and Intercontinental Champion Carlito (real name Carlos Colón Jr.) was at Monday's ROH tapings in Jacksonville, Florida.

The report noted that Carlito was visiting Epico and Primo, both of whom compete in ROH. Primo is Carlito's brother, and Epico is their cousin.

Fightful Select also reports that Bobby Steveson, who performed as Damon Kemp in WWE, was also at the tapings. Steveson joined the WWE in 2021 and announced his departure in July 2024 after minimal use on the company's programming.

Monday's visit doesn't mean that ROH is on the verge of signing Carlito. But if he has an interest in joining the company, the 47-year-old could easily get endorsements from Epico and Primo.

Carlito Quickly Became a Household Name in His First WWE Tenure

After a one-year tenure in the Ohio Valley Wrestling developmental territory, Carlito debuted for the main roster on the Oct. 7, 2004, episode of SmackDown. He quickly entered a feud with John Cena, who was months away from emerging as the new face of WWE.

Carlito defeated John Cena in his SmackDown debut to win the United States Championship, quickly cementing himself as one of the top heels on the main roster.

Over two tenures with the WWE (2003 to 2010 and 2021 to 2025), Carlito won four championships. He held the United States and Intercontinental titles in single reigns and won two Tag Team Championships with Primo.
