Catawba Valley Health System announces community pharmacy in Hickory
On May 15, Catawba Valley Health System (CVHS) celebrated the official ribbon cutting for Catawba Valley Community Pharmacy, marking a new chapter in expanding pharmacy services for the Catawba County region.
Conveniently located on Tate Boulevard in Hickory, the new community pharmacy offers expanded access, extended hours, personalized service, drive-thru pickup, and coordinated care designed to make managing medications easier for patients and community members, according to a news release.
"We're excited to continue to serve our CVHS employees while expanding to the community. Our pharmacy team is extraordinary and takes great pride in this opportunity," said Amy Davey, director of Pharmacy Services for CVHS.
She added, "We are excited to serve our patients in this new way and help make the transition simple and convenient when transferring prescriptions to Catawba Valley Community Pharmacy."
Davey said if anyone is interested in transferring their prescriptions, CVHS encourages them to speak to their provider.
The pharmacy is located at 1501 Tate Blvd. SE, Suite 102, Hickory, NC 28602.
Hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
