Netflix Adds Popular Jordan Peele Sci-Fi Horror Film
Jordan Peele has produced, written and directed three films focusing on issues of race and culture, most notably his directorial debut, 2017's Get Out.
Peele's most recently directed movie, Nope, was released in 2022 and reeled in $171.2 million at the box office worldwide. It has also been drawing eyeballs since being added to Netflix for the first time one week ago.

The science fiction horror flick was added to Netflixon May 18, opening up a whole new market of potential fans of the UFO-centric film.
"Jordan Peele's spectacular sci-fi horror epic has officially landed on Netflix," writes What's on Netflix's Kasey Moore. "Starring Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer as sibling horse trainers in California who discover something truly otherworldly lurking in the clouds above their ranch. If you missed this one in theaters, it's an absolute must-watch-queue it up tonight with the biggest screen and best sound system you have available. Is it Peele's best film? Probably not, but it's another absolute gem."
Besides Kaluuya and Palmer, Nope also features Steven Yeun, Michael Wincott, Brandon Perea, Wrenn Schmidt, Barbie Ferreira, Keith David and others.
Early returns on Netflix are positive as well, with Moore pointing out that Nope cracked the Netflix top 10 at No. 8 during its first week on the service.
Nope received strong fan, critical reviews as well
Nope holds an 83% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, along with a 6.8/10 score on IMDB and 3.7/5 on Letterboxd.
Following its release, the movie also received positive feedback from the New York Times and Chicago Sun-Times, as well as a number of other entertainment outlets.
"Nope may not be Jordan Peele's best movie to date, but it is his most enjoyable. A true summer movie spectacle meant to be writ large across the screen, giving us thrills, chills, laughs, and that most precious of things: movie magic," wrote /Film's Chris Evangelista.
