Most dogs need a little time and convincing when bath time rolls around to get them into the right headspace for the shampoo, conditioning, rinse, and dry routine that comes with it. But not all dogs are like that; some love the routine and look forward to it.

In this video, we meet an adorable Chihuahua who's the exact opposite of a pup who hates water. He's so excited when the time rolls around, he's paddling early, and it's the cutest thing.

Just keeping swimming - UNILAD

Shared by @gizzythegrem, the video shows a very cute Chihuahua named Gizmo who is about to take a bath. His bath time is in the kitchen sink, since he's such a tiny dog, and he seems committed to swimming.

He's not even in the water yet, and Gizmo is trying to get his laps in, which means he's really excited to get into his sink bath, he's imagining he's already there, or he's anxious about being in the water and is already practicing his swimming.

Why Some Dogs Love Water More Than Others and What It Says About Their Personality

Some dogs love being in the water and will find fun for themselves in a tiny puddle, while others will scurry and flail all over the place just to avoid getting wet. According to experts, some dog breeds tend to love water more than others, and Chihuahuas like Gizmo tend to be pups who love being near or in the water. But a dog's experience with water can also shape whether they love it or hate it, Pettsie explains, adding that a dog's early experience with water can make a difference.

The site notes that if a dog had a scary first encounter with the water, they're going to be more timid to get back in, but if they've got memories full of happy times in the water, they're going to have the best time in streams, pools, puddles, and yes, bathwater.
