Backstage Update: WWE's Plans for Brock Lesnar After Clash in Italy Revealed

More details have emerged on Brock Lesnar's future with WWE after Sunday's highly anticipated Clash in Italy pay-per-view.

Despite indicating retirement after his loss to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42, Lesnar is far from finished in the ring. He returned to attack Femi on last week's episode of Monday Night Raw, setting up a rematch for Sunday's pay-per-view at Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy.

Regardless of who wins Sunday's match, this will not be the end of the line for the future Hall of Famer.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful (h/t WrestlingInc.com), Lesnar is expected to continue working with WWE after Clash in Italy.

Though it's unclear when he would appear next, the 48-year-old isn't believed to be part of the plans for Saturday Night's Main Event XLV on July 18 (at Madison Square Garden in New York City).

Lesnar Should Appear at Summerslam 2026

Dave Meltzer previously reported on Wrestling Observer Radio earlier this week (h/t WrestlingInc.com) that Lesnar will wrestle beyond Clash in Italy. Meltzer added that Lesnar will be at SummerSlam 2026 weekend.

SummerSlam takes place on Aug. 1-2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Lesnar's home state. If Lesnar is planning to retire soon, then it's hard to draw up a better time and location to walk away than the summer pay-per-view.

WWE usually brings in most of its top part-time performers for SummerSlam, so Lesnar should be involved in come capacity.
