"Oh my gosh," the woman says, "I know they're cold. We're getting your out ducklings, don't worry."
Before too long, the woman saved all the ducklings, reuniting each with their grateful mother, but the story didn't stop there!
When it started storming later on in the night, the family of ducks waddled over to the woman's house to take shelter under the porch. Pretty soon, the family had moved into the woman's backyard, making a happy home with a human they knew had their back, no matter what.
As the video clips progress, we watch the ducklings grow older, always heading out on adventures during the day and returning to the woman's house at dusk.
The woman leaves her backyard fence open so the family can make themselves comfortable, and she welcomes them home from the window every day. She even sets up a kiddie pool with a ramp mat so the duck family can swim around and enjoy!
"You are their protector, how wonderful," one commenter says.
"I just love how mama duck was very clearly thanking these wonderful people," another viewer says. "The humans saying 'you're welcome' and all of their other comments to mama duck and her babies. Best thing I've viewed online in a long while."
"Ooh Muscovey [sic] ducks are the best," another raves. "You have made friends for life."

Do Ducks Recognize People?
It's no surprise that this duck family attached itself to its human hero. Ducks are very intelligent creatures, and they can easily recognize humans they meet in the wild, particularly those who care for them and show kindness.
Ducks have very sharp vision, and they quickly learn to identify humans who give them food and shelter. Ducklings are particularly prone to attaching themselves to humans, as they can imprint on people when they're young, seeing them as parents and creating a lifelong relationship.
Ducks are also very good listeners who can recognize you by voice alone, even if they don't see you right away.
This woman will probably be a favorite for this family of ducks for generations to come, and it looks like she's happy to take on the task!
