British Shorthair Cat's Perfect Timing Leaves Golden Retriever Totally Confused
Cats can be sneaky creatures, especially when they don't want anyone-particularly the dog-to know where they are. Kevin, a British Shorthair, seems to take great joy in keeping her Golden Retriever sister confused. A recent TikTok video proves she's extremely good at it.
Many people on social media already know Lucie, the Golden Retriever, thanks to her dramatic "wooing," especially on the stairs. She's basically the queen of "saying" exactly what's on her mind. Unfortunately for Lucie, she and Kevin are complete opposites when it comes to attention.

Lucie loves being around her humans and is quite the little conversationalist. Kevin, on the other hand, prefers to lurk quietly in the background-literally.
During a recent conversation with Lucie, Mom tried her hardest to get the Golden to notice her feline sister peeking around the corner at the top of the stairs.

"Look, Kevin's at the top of the stairs. Can you see her?" Mom asks.
But with absolutely perfect timing, the second Lucie finally turned around to look, Kevin disappeared right back behind the wall. When the Golden turned back around, the expression on her face was priceless. She looked genuinely baffled, as if she were thinking, "What are you talking about, lady?"
Life Is a Little More Fun With These Two in It
Kevin and Lucie definitely have a bit of history together. While the two generally coexist pretty peacefully, there have been a few exceptions-including a recent incident involving Kevin lounging on the stairs and Lucie accidentally tossing her ball directly at the cat. To be fair, Kevin blended into the carpet surprisingly well, but still.
The TikTok comments section was full of hilarious reactions to Lucie's confusion, including one viewer who wrote, "Now Lucie thinks you're starting to lose it, seeing Kevin where she isn't You can even see her facial expression like, ‘Wdym Kevin, what are you on about?' "
And of course, whenever Kevin appears in a video, the same question always pops up in the comments: "Wait... Kevin is a girl?"
The answer is yes. Kevin is, in fact, a girl kitty.
