MLB Fans Are Obsessed Over Perfectly Timed Image Taken During Mets and Mariners Game
Baseball fans are loving a perfectly timed image that was snapped during the New York Mets' road game against the Seattle Mariners on Monday night.
The Mariners defeated the Mets 3-2 in the first of a three-game series, thanks to a walk-off single from Cole Young in the bottom half of the 10th inning. Seattle has now won seven in a row, and they enter tonight's slate of games with a 2.5-game lead for first in the AL West.
At one point in the game, somebody took an image of Mariners second baseman Cole Young standing on first base, with Mets first baseman Jared Young beside him. And standing behind the two of them? Mariners first base coach Eric Young Jr.

"It's a Young meet up at first base!" one fan wrote on X.
"Young Jr. is the oldest of the Youngs," another X user said.
"It's a stretch, but they are kinda standing in the shape of a Y too lol," a fan observed.
"After all, baseball is a Young man's game," another cleverly joked.
"Young men! There's no need to feel down! I said Young men!" another said, referencing the "YMCA" hit song by the Village People.
Now in his second MLB season, Cole Young is batting .250 with four homers, 30 RBI and an OPS of .688. The 22-year-old was called up by the Mariners midway through the 2025 season, but struggled with a .211 batting average and .607 OPS in 77 games.
Jared Young is also having a stellar bounce-back year with his club. Despite missing time with a torn meniscus, the 30-year-old is batting .306 with two homers, four RBI and a .909 OPS.
Mets and Mariners Wrap Up Series on Wednesday
After tonight's game, the Mets and Mariners will wrap up their series with an afternoon tilt on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 3:40 p.m. EST, with Freddy Peralta and George Kirby to start for the Mets and Mariners, respectively.
Seattle will then have an off day before traveling to Detroit for a three-game weekend series against the Tigers. The Mets will stay on the West Coast and start a three-game set with the San Diego Padres on Friday.
