Robin Quivers, Howard Stern Co-Host, Reveals ‘Unbelievable Miracle' In Cancer Battle

Howard Stern's longtime co-host Robin Quivers shared an incredible update with listeners after a years-long battle with endometrial cancer.

During the Monday, June 1 episode of their SiriusXM show, The Howard Stern Show, Stern teed up Quivers' announcement by sharing, "Robin, it gives me a chill to even say it, but this is honestly the best news ever."

"I'm cancer-free," she then shared with their audience, after she first revealed her diagnosis with stage 3C endometrial cancer way back in 2012.

Howard & Robin React to the News

"What do you think of that?" Stern said. "Fourteen years ago, when Robin was diagnosed, she took charge of her health. She started to do all the right things. She never deviated."

"And I'm telling you, Robin, on behalf of this show, and you know, of course, to me, you're the most important. And I love you. And I am so happy for you," an emotional Stern continued. "And I don't even know what you must be feeling inside."

Beaming, Quivers then shared that she feels "like a brand new person now."

"I was like a person who's won the lottery and can't believe their eyes when they're seeing all the numbers, ‘Is this what I think it says?'" she added, as Stern himself called the news an "unbelievable miracle."

Admitting that the treatment wasn't always "all that fun," Quivers added that she "never gave up hope." This, as Stern said, "This stuff always goes f–king wrong, but Robin is a fighter."

After sharing the update, Stern then quipped, "Do me a favor, don't go out and get hit by a car!"

Inside Robin's Cancer Battle

After undergoing a hysterectomy, Quivers first learned of her diagnosis in 2012. She underwent chemotherapy and radiation at the time. In 2013, her cancer had gone into remission.

It, however, returned three years later, in 2016. She then continued immunotherapy infusions, with Quivers losing her hair during her second round of chemo.

She would later embrace her hair loss with a PEOPLE photoshoot, while also occasionally filming the radio show without a wig.

"I lost my hair in the second round of chemo I had to take in 2017. So I've been like this since then," she said during a 2024 appearance. "But, you know, back then there was no time to make decisions and I just started wearing wigs because I just didn't know what to do. But in general, I don't wear that wig anytime but on the show."

"The only reason you don't see my head like this is because I freeze in the wintertime, because all the time the heat goes out of your head," she said at the time. "I'm very much aware of that now. So I have to cover my head in the wintertime."

Speaking with PEOPLE in 2023 about her battle, she added, "When you're in and out of treatment, you're always recovering and trying to get back to where you were."

"I feel fine. It's been 11 years of dealing with this - and I'm still here," she added. "I'm interested in everybody having a fuller life, more options, and knowing what's possible."
