Who doesn't love a donut? National Donut Day falls on June 5 this year, and unlike other "national" days, there's real meaning behind this one. It was created by The Salvation Army in Chicago in 1938 to honor members who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.
If you're conscious of your nutrition, you might use National Donut Day as your "cheat" day of the week. But if you've got other weekend plans and would rather allocate your macros elsewhere, there are plenty of ways to recreate that same classic donut flavor you're craving.
