Most people don't expect nighttime wildlife to show up at the door like regular dinner guests, but that's exactly what happens at this woman's house every evening. In the adorable video shared by LB Barron (@lewayne69), a raccoon and an opossum stop by together for their nightly snacks, calmly waiting like they're part of the family.

Their surprisingly polite routine has viewers invested and wanting to see more. The video begins with Ricki, the raccoon, grabbing the first snack, a hoagie roll that's almost as big as he is. Then Junior, the opossum, patiently waits his turn before taking his snack and quietly scurrying back off into the night.

Viewers Were Completely Invested in the Raccoon and Opossum's Nightly Snack Routine

Many of us were jealous of LB, and some of the 3,500+ commenters who also enjoy similar nighttime snacking routines with animals in their backyards shared stories. @Nancy Catalan shared this sweet story: "My in-laws have a family of raccoons that they feed every night. They make a second dinner specifically for the raccoons. They all have their own bowls and everything. If dinner is late, they send the baby raccoon to knock on the back door."

@mollykbailey got more than 17k likes when she shared, "A raccoon AND an opossum!?!? You're living my dream!!" @Thespiane joked, "I just know the raccoon was like, 'Bro, I know a spot. Follow me...'"

@Gray Cottage Bakery shared, "They are so polite," and another commenter shared, "Waited in line and everything!"

Some viewers weren't thrilled that LB chose to feed the animals bread. While wildlife experts generally recommend avoiding bread because it offers very little nutritional value for raccoons and opossums, an occasional piece isn't likely to harm them.
