These Sibling Cats Have Very Different Goals When Hanging Out With Mom
There are so many reasons why having more than one cat at home is the best thing. And one of the things that you learn very quickly is that all cats have very different personalities. It doesn't matter if they're raised in the same household with the same set of rules and expectations, because they will approach certain things in ways that are uniquely theirs.
In this video, for example, we meet a pair of sibling kitties who have very different reasons for staying close to their mom, and seeing it so clearly is actually hysterical. Take a look!

TikTok user Ceci (@thececistudio) shared a video of herself sitting down to eat a meal at home, featuring two cat siblings with distinct personalities, whose differences are very noticeable.
In the clip, we meet a Black Cat who is sitting with his mom, asleep on the couch top just behind her head. He's napping, letting his mom do her own thing, but still wanting to be as close to her as possible. Then we meet the second cat, a Tuxedo who was also hanging out near his mom, but instead of lounging or taking a catnap, he's zeroed in on her plate, watching every bite, hoping she'll give him a taste.
In the comments, people had some thoughts to share on these two very different cats, including: "Eye on the prize," "I have a clinger that also wants food all the time," "The black one is just playing the long game," and "That's my kitty in a nutshell."

Why Cats in the Same Household Can Have Completely Different Personalities
These two felines probably have a lot in common, but it's also very clear that their personalities are different. That is interesting since they live in the same household, and it makes sense... according to experts.
According to Cats.com, differences in personality in cats occur just as they do in people. And it all boils down to the various personality traits. The site explains that the personality spectrum of cats generally falls within five different types. This includes the human cat, hunter cat, inquisitive cat, cantankerous cat, and the cat's cat, each with many behavioral and personality quirks.
Judging by this video of the two sibling kitties, it seems like the Black Cat falls into the human cat category, since he wants to be close to his mom, while the Tuxedo cat would be more of the inquisitive cat personality type, since he's so locked in on what his mom's doing.
