An Abandoned Donkey Gave Her Rescuers the Sweetest Surprise After Finally Feeling Safe
After two boys noticed a donkey left tied up on the side of a busy Texas road in the middle of the night, they knew the only right thing to do was to bring her home. They also knew the rescued donkey would cause quite a stir with the rest of the family at home, but they never could have predicted what would happen next.
The abandoned donkey rescue story first took off after proud dad @letolee shared video of the animal rescue on May 31. Viewers were just as stunned as the family when the donkey offered the ultimate surprise. She finally felt safe, which meant she finally put her guard down.
@letolee "On their way home at 3 in the morning, my sons found a donkey abandoned on the side of a busy road. They decided to untie it and bring it somewhere safe, walking it all the way home since they lived nearby. They kept the donkey safe in their yard, gave it water, and there was plenty of vegetation for it to eat while they went to sleep, planning to call animal control or a rescue the next morning. But when they woke up, they got the biggest surprise… it wasn't a boy donkey after all. Just when viewers thought this rescue story couldn't get cuter, the sweetest surprise took everyone for a loop. No one expected a baby donkey! The tiny foal, a baby girl, appears to be just as strong as her mama, though thankfully she'll never know the kind of hardships that her mom endured just hours before her birth.
