2026 FIFA World Cup: Where to Watch, Kickoff Times, Game Fixtures & More
The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off today, June 11, 2026, with the first match between Mexico and South Africa. The game will take place at the Mexico City Stadium in the host country's capital, with the tournament kicking off at 3 p.m. ET.
Later tonight, the South Korea national team will face off against Czechia at the Estadio AKRON in Jalisco at 10 p.m. ET. All four teams comprise the tournament's Group A; each team will face the other teams within its group once, with a win scoring three points, a draw scoring one point, and a loss providing zero points.
At the end of the group stage, the top two scoring teams in each group move on to the next stage of the tournament, while the last-place team in each group is eliminated. Among the third-place finishers, only the eight highest-scoring teams across all twelve groups will advance.
Where to Watch The 2026 FIFA World Cup
In the United States, every game in this year's World Cup will be available to watch live on FOX or FS1 for English speakers. Spanish-language coverage will also be available on Telemundo and Universo for those cheering on the home country.
Those without access to live television can also stream the games exclusively on Fox ONE for English-language coverage. Spanish speakers should head to Peacock, where every game is being streamed with Spanish commentary. In the United Kingdom, fans can watch every game on the BBC or ITV.
The games will continue throughout the week, with each team playing their three group stage matches by June 27. From there, the tournament will split into four knockout rounds, with two undefeated teams meeting in the finals on July 19, 2026.
2026 FIFA World Cup Groups & Fixtures
This year, the World Cup will consist of 48 teams from across the world, split into twleve groups of four. The United States find themselves in Group D, meaning they will face off against Paraguay, Australia, and Türkiye in the group stages. The team's first match will be June 12 at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, where they will play against Paraguay.
