'Fat Cat' Has Hilarious Way of Letting Mom Know Her Bowl Is Empty
Some cats politely wait for mealtime, while others, like this Orange Cat named Zoey, take a much more direct approach. Her mom lovingly calls her a fat cat, and in this video, she proves how she earned the nickname.
This food-motivated feline has developed a very bad habit of getting her mom's attention whenever her bowl is empty: aggressively tipping the bowl back and forth on the floor until someone gets the message. Her dramatic performance has us all laughing and wondering if the whole act works, and whether Mom refills the bowl just to make the ruckus stop.

Zoey's mom's commentary cracked us up! Sounds like Zoey will be DoorDashing tonight since her mom totally ignored her antics.

How Do You Know If Your Cat Is Eating Too Much?
Is your cat overweight? Do they seem to eat constantly? If you're feeding your kitty throughout the day, including treats and snacks, it's possible they may be consuming more calories than they need. The amount a cat should eat varies based on factors like age, weight, activity level, and overall health, so it's a good idea to follow the feeding guidelines on the cat food packaging or speak with your vet for a more personalized recommendation.
According to Greencross Vets, it can sometimes be difficult to tell whether a cat is overweight. They recommend gently feeling your pet's body with your hands. "You should still be able to easily feel bones and flesh underneath. For cats with lots of fur, you can't just go by how they look, because the fur conceals body size."
While fat cats are cute, carrying extra weight can have serious health consequences. Overweight kitties are often less active and less mobile, which can contribute to a variety of health problems, including diabetes, heart disease, and liver issues.
