Most of us may love bright, sunny days, but unfortunately some of our plants do not.

And if you have those plants placed outside in areas that frequently get too bright or too hot, you may want to consider either moving them or getting a sunshade to cover them.

If you're planning for the latter option and also happen to be near an Aldi store, you're in luck, because starting June 17, the retailer will stock a variety of affordable sunshade sails in two neutral colors.

While certain specifics, like dimensions, remain a mystery, you can find out what we know about the product and why they may work for you below.

Not only are sunshades flexible and easy to install, but they're also less bulky than an umbrella or built structure. So if you are looking for something that doesn't detract from the aesthetic appeal of your plants or garden setup, a sunshade sail may be one of the best options.

Based on the product photo, it looks like this sail could be tied around a hook, beam or other structure from three points, making it easy for you to hang up. However, you do want to ensure you hang the sail at a 20- to 30-degree angle so rainwater can run off it.

What Other Colors Will Be Available, and Which Should I Choose?

In addition to the light, pale tan color called "warm gray" shown above, the sails will be available in a dark slate color.

Because these sails aren't meant to be decorative focal points, it may be best to choose a color that best matches your house's material color, the aesthetics of your garden, or other surrounding shades it can blend into.

If you aren't planning to attach the sail to your house but rather to another freestanding structure like a pergola, the lighter tan shade may blend in better (unless your structure is dark gray).

Regardless of which color you choose or where you place it, your plants are likely to avoid scorched, wilting or drooping leaves thanks to their new Aldi sunshade.
